Caramella comes from a rich family, which she left behind, because she was unhappy there. (Her father was a bit of a bully and discouraged her from pursuing her dreams.)
She worked hard to buy the Inn (or bakery, if that is an option hehe) she owns now and continues to work hard to make her life as nice and cosy as possible - and the customers as happy as possible (with quality food, pastries and drink and some nice rooms for travellers to stay)
